Sydney's Frontline wasn't the only Aussie RV builder to roll out a new motorhome model at the 2023 NSW Caravan, Camping and Holiday Supershow.
Brisbane's Apollo Group showed off its second campervan offering under its revitalised Windsor RV range, adding to the Fiat Ducato-based Otway campervan released late last year.
The latest Windsor Waveline campervan is based on the increasingly popular Chinese-built LDV Deliver 9 LWB high roof van powered by a 108kW/375Nm 2.0- litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, along with a six-speed automatic transmission and 80 litre fuel tank.
The close to 6.0m long Waveline camper sports a similar layout to the Windsor Otway, with walk-through access from the two front seats into a living area that includes a kitchenette with sink with mixer tap, twin gas burner cooker, microwave and 80L fridge/freezer.
The rear bench seats and table convert to a double bed at night, with the relatively compact camper also coming standard with a rooftop air-conditioner, 9kg gas bottle, 100Ah AGM battery and 190W solar panel, 22in TV, combination shower/toilet and 110L fresh and 110L grey water tanks, among other features.
The kerb weight of 3220kg helps deliver a decent 780kg payload, with the daily driver-friendly campervan priced at $119,990 on the Sydney RV stand.
Meanwhile, a year after debuting the Volkswagen Crafter-base Kampervan that was sold only through Volkswagen dealers, Jayco previewed its own 22ft Crafter van-based camper at the 2023 Sydney Supershow.
Part of the Jayco Optimum range, the new front-wheel drive, VW 22-1 model will be priced from $145,990 and is powered by a 103kW/340Nm 2.0-litre, four cylinder turbo disel engine matched to an eight speed automatic transmission.
Some of the features displayed on the two berth, 6386mm long display model included an inside/outside kitchenette with 65 litre fridge, sink and two burner cooktop, located directly opposite to the combination shower toilet with sliding mirror door.
The display model was also fitted with a 3.7m box awning, internally mounted TV and rooftop aerial, a rooftop air conditioner, LED-lit overhead cabinetry and a spacious rear lounge/dinette area that converts to a double bed, and is also accessible through the rear barn doors.
Up front the two driver and passenger seats swivel to face another couple of seats, both with seat belts, and a removable table.
The Jayco Optimum campervan is also available on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform priced from $145,990.
