Apollo Motorhome Holidays is further boosting its RV rental fleet with the addition of three new campervans in 2012.
Following the introduction of a 4WD, four berth ute camper and three caravan models in 2011, Apollo’s rental fleet will be joined by the two/four berth Endeavour camper van, the four-berth Euro Slider motorhome, and two-berth 4WD Trailfinder pop-top camper.
The new vehicles will be available for rent from April 1, boosting Apollo’s RV fleet to 13 models in total.
The Endeavour Camper is based on a Toyota Hiace petrol/auto van and includes two double beds, hot/cold water and kitchen but no bathroom.
According to the Apollo website, the Endeavour is “great for families that need a four berth but are willing to forgo the onboard shower and toilet that are available in larger four berth motorhomes”.
According to Apollo, the Fiat Ducato-based Euro Slider will be the first slide out motorhome in the Australian rental market and was built in response to customer requests.
“Our customers ask for vehicles which are small on the outside but roomy on the inside, something that is easy to drive and park but still offers plenty of living space,” said Apollo CEO Luke Trouchet.
“The Euro Slider features all the latest modern conveniences and the unique slide out compartment maximises living space by 20 per cent.”
Design for serious off-roading, the compact Trailfinder Camper will be Apollo’s first non-ute based off-road vehicle. It’s based on the rugged Toyota LandCruiser Troopie, and comes with a canvas pop-top roof and slide-out kitchen.
Apollo says the Trailfinder, which is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 diesel with five-speed manual gearbox “is ideal for adventurous couples who want a compact vehicle with superior handling in rough terrain”.
All three new vehicles are being designed and developed through Apollo’s in-house design and manufacturing team at Talvor Motorhomes, the company’s retail arm.
Apollo says the new campers are part of a $94 million commitment by the company which also includes vehicle upgrade and existing fleet expansion.
