Bruce Highway caravan crash clean-up specialist Clayton's Towing has been kept busy this week, after being called to clear traffic roadblocks caused by back-to-back caravan roll-overs in the Sunshine State.
The first roll-over occurred on the southbound section of the Bruce Highway, just north of Bli Bli Road, resulting in a bank-up of traffic before Claytons managed to clear the road of the large tandem-axle caravan and its still connected tow vehicle, both of which ended up on their side.

Not long after Claytons' recovery truck was on the scene again: this time clearing the road of another over-turned, extra-large tandem-axle 'van and its tow vehicle, on the south-bound section of Sunshine Motorway near Pacific Paradise.
Claytons reported major traffic delays as a result of both accidents, but no major or serious injuries.

In both cases, the heavyweight tandem-axle 'vans appeared to be towed by dual-cab utes.
The photos of the two upturned rigs on Clayton's Towing Facebook page created the usual spirited online discussion, with many of the hundreds of comments focusing on the risks of towing large and often unbalanced or over-loaded caravans by much smaller and lighter tow vehicles...
