The birthday presents keep coming for Ballina, NSW-based Horizon Motorhomes.
The campervan and motorhome manufacturer has already had a few reasons to celebrate in 2015, including its 20th year in business and selling its 500th motorhome.
Earlier this year its exclusive dealership, the Ballina Campervan and Motorhome Centre, picked up a Business of the Year award at the Ballina Coast & Hinterland Business Excellence Awards.
Now Horizon’s founder and owner Clayton Kearney has collected two gongs at this week’s 2015 Awards of Excellence held by the NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association.
As well as the trophy for Best NSW Manufacturer – Motorhomes, Campervans & 5th Wheelers, Kearney took home one of two ‘Best of the Best’ awards, in the Trade category.
A mechanic by trade who started selling campervans “by accident” in the late-1980s before starting Horizon Motorhomes in 1995, Kearney said he “couldn’t be any prouder” of the business that now employs 30 people and produces eight different models.
“We are grateful to be recognised by the Association and for all the hard work and determination we have put in to our business,” he said after receiving the two latest awards.
“We take great pride in every aspect of the design, manufacturing, innovation, build, sales and after-sales of all Horizon Motorhomes that pass through the showroom. I thank my teams at Horizon and BCMC for all their hard work to get the brand to this level of national recognition.”
