Kicking off at 10am on Friday, August 24, and running until 5pm on Sunday, the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo caters to a wide range of outdoor leisure enthusiasts, with more than 200 exhibitors displaying latest products and services over 50,000 square metres, much of it undercover.
Exhibitors will showcase the latest 4WDs and accessories, camper trailers, tents, boats, fishing tackle, kayaks, cooking equipment, various GPS and other outdoor equipment.
Among the 20-odd RV brands on display include Armadillo, GIC, Goldstream RV, Johnno's, Avan, Tru Blu, Cub Campers, EarthCruiser, Echo 4x4, Conqueror, Ultimate, Track Trailer, and Trayon.
The biggest amount of floorspace will be reserved for off-road and camping accessories though, including many of the latest GPS devices like Hema's Navigator HN6 which features a hi-res six inch screen and comprehensive off-road mapping.
Also making its debut at the show will be the innovative Vipertrack GPS unit, which according to UV Electronics "attaches securely to a van or camper and can plot a journey in precise detail and then send the data back to the user's account which can be accessed on a computer".
There’ll be non-stop action over the week-end in the Action Arena, including 4WD and monster truck test rides and the TJM Austruck 4x4 Extreme Team tackling a custom-built dirt obstacle course.
Victorian monster truck builder Sam Xuereb will demonstrate some of his incredible arsenal of vehicles, including the legendary Devil's Taxi monster truck and the 1000 horsepower Stuart American Light Tank Mega Trax.
Paul Worstelling, Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt, Roothy with Red and Simon Christie are just some of the familiar faces that will lead presentations and workshops on the Waeco Outback Stage, Great Australian Doortstep Stage and Fishing Stage.
Other family-friendly attractions will include the Wot Hobbies RC Course, Young Guns Fishing Clinic, Boat and Jetski licence testing, Yamaha Fishing Supertank and the Fishing Simulator.
Caravancampingsales, along with sister websites Carsales and Boatsales, will also have a display stand at the show, so make sure to drop by and say hello.
