Instagram stories reveal that with bored kids as a powerful motivator, Hemsworth recently hitched up his Lotus Trooper caravan and hit the open road, headed for the coast.
However, just like the Hemsworth brothers, not all caravans are created equal, according to the Byron Bay-based Hollywood superstar.
Hemsworth's family caravan of choice is a top-spec Lotus Trooper that comes with all the off-road armoury you need for a beach adventure – think galvanised chassis, marine-grade panels and BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, for starters. It’s a tough glamour-van - the Thor of RVs.
Offering an enticing blend of brawn and bling, the Lotus Trooper’s tough checker-plate exterior hides a swish interior layout, while a ceramic bowl toilet and two hot-water showers (inside and out) make it ideal for luxury iso-escapes.
The latest Melbourne-built Trooper comes with matte black sinks, taps and hardware, soft-close drawers, Italian leather lounge seating, reverse cycle heating and cooling, a large awning and a 24-inch LED flat screen TV. Not to mention a reversing camera.
It’s available with eight floor plans that range in size from 18ft 9inch to 22ft, but we'’re tipping Hemsworth has the triple bunk bed configuration to accommodate his crew while those double-glazed tinted windows should keep the paps at bay.
If we didn’t know better we’d say Hemsworth is angling for a gig on season two of Grey Nomads.
A Hemsworth Instagram plug of a rugged go-anywhere caravan could be the road trip fuel we all need as dreams of European getaways give way to home soil RV action.
