Professional photographer Sean Scott is shining a very nice light on a Melbourne-built 22ft off-road caravan that he's currently showcasing around Outback Queensland in his new role as a Lotus Caravans 'vanbassador'.
The renowned landscape and nature photographer had already owned a couple of Lotus vans before taking delivery of the latest 22ft Off Grid family model from Lotus' Melbourne factory, which includes a luxury fit-out incorporating east-west double bed, twin bunks, lounge/dinette, indoor/outdoor kitchen and separate shower and toilet.
Scott's towing the big Lotus off-roader behind an old school V8 LandCruiser 70 Series dual-cab ute, complete with canopy and roof-top tent which serves as an additional bedspace for his three children.
“Over the last 10 years I have been a customer of Lotus Caravans and I have travelled to all parts of Australia to live and work as a landscape photographer," he said.
"I've had two previous Lotus Caravans and I am really excited to now be partnering up with Lotus and recently took delivery of my third Lotus Caravan, a 22-foot Off Grid."
After a recent shakedown run through Queensland, Scott said he has a few more trips planned around the state in coming months as current border restrictions limit the Gold Coast resident's movement around the rest of the country.
"Over the rest of the year, I have trips planned to Outback Queensland, Stradbroke Island, and a few trips up to the Great Barrier Reef and hope to go further afield next year once the restrictions are lifted and we can travel further," he said.
"But for now, I feel very fortunate to be living in Queensland and be able to travel in my new Off Grid van and get out there and do what I do best."
Also sponsored by Dometic, Scott is yet another beneficiary of the latest trend of caravan manufacturers teaming up with social media 'influencers' to spruik their products in idyllic settings.
