Queensland's Lifestyle Campers is the latest Australia RV manufacturer to offer buyers a fully equipped off-grid 'glamping' trailer.
Based on Lifestyle's tandem axle Reconn R4 hybrid camper, the new top-spec Reconn R4T LRX Hypercamper is kitted out for very comfortable, long-term free camping in remote regions, and comes fitted with Cruisemaster ATX Stage 3 airbag suspension and a DO-35 coupling, along with a total of 320 litres of fresh water and a 65-litre grey water tank.
To keep the lights, twin induction cooktops, powered pop-top roof, 175-litre fridge/freezer and other appliances running when not plugged in to mains power or running a generator, there's also a high-tech 400Ah lithium battery system with Victron 2000VA/2400W inverter and 1080 watts of rooftop solar, managed by a Simarine smart monitor.
The slightly longer body on the new Reconn R4T LRX pop-top camper gets some stylish and functional upgrades, both inside and out, including a front-through boot incorporating a driver's side utility slide and passenger side BBQ slide, sleeker rock sliders with integrated rear corner protection, new LED tail lights with sequential indicators, and black alloy wheels with mud tyres framed by special 'LRX' wheel arch flares.
Priced from around $145,000 to $150,000 depending on the final fit-out, the new Reconn R4T LRX also comes standard with a Truma diesel hot water and air heater, Webasto rooftop air-conditioner, twin Sirocco fans and a digital TV antenna.
The interior fit-out also goes to another level with new leather trim, 'eco-friendly' gourmet kitchen with 'gas free' induction cooktop, larger black sink and filtered drinking tap, and a 'waterfall edge' ensuite with unique non-slip flooring, new shower curtain and black tapware.
"The all-new Reconn R4T LRX is optioned with everything that you ever wanted in a compact, innovative, go-anywhere, off-grid camper, that has no compromises," the 20-year old Queensland manufacturer says on the Lifestyle Campers website.
Like the other R4 Reconn models, the new LRX version offers user-friendly camping and towing with a push-button pop-top roof, huge outside kitchen recess and plenty of storage.
The approximately 2500kg Tare/3500kg ATM Reconn R4T LRX is available in a variety of layouts including combined ensuite and bunk options. An LRX version of the single-axle R2 Reconn camper is also available.
