Former President and long serving board member, Merv King, has been honoured with a Lifetime Membership of the Caravan & Camping Industry Association (CCIA) NSW.
King’s three decades of commitment to the industry were recognised at the annual Awards of Excellence held at Sydney’s Luna Park this week, where CCIA President, Theo Whitmont described King as “a true pioneer of the industry”.
“Merv has successfully owned and operated several holiday parks throughout NSW and has been a true pioneer of our industry,” Whitmont said.
“He has made great contributions to our industry, particularly during his time as the Association's President where he helped to build the industry’s profile, improve member services and increase our advocacy."
Businesses inducted into the CCIA’s ‘Hall of Fame’ at this year’s Awards (after winning the same award three years in a row), included Horizon Motorhomes, Jayco Newcastle, Baby Boomers Caravan Hire, and Rainbow Pines Tourist Caravan Park.
Along with Horizon Motorhomes, BIG4 Great Lakes holiday park picked up one of two ‘Best of the Best’ awards.
