An online auction of unfinished caravan and camper trailers, along with equipment and parts remaining after the liquidation of Kimberley Kampers, is being conducted by Grays Online.
The online auction kicked off at 4pm on October 18 and includes hundreds of items, from office equipment and factory machinery to unused RV appliances and partially-completed caravans and camper trailers.
Renowned for building some of the most expensive and sophisticated RVs in Australia, the Ballina, NSW manufacturer entered liquidation in July, after shutting its factory gates and axing the jobs of around 50 workers.
The online sale, run on behalf of insolvency specialists SV Partners, includes a number of incomplete campers and caravans, including what looks like at least two of the range-topping Kruiser caravans and two Karavan models, along with a hard-floor camper trailer.
Also up for grabs are a handful of fibreglass canopies and end cap sets, designed for the Karavan, and various unused parts including brake calipers, wheel hubs, hitches, jockey wheels, tent poles and mattresses.
Some pricey factory equipment including a section bend machine, MIG welders, and a large fabric cutting machine, along with a number of unboxed RV appliances including fridges, air-conditioners, and BBQs, can also be bid on.
Many items are unreserved, with bidding for most of the items running from 4pm, October 18 until 6pm, October 23. Grays is charging a buyer’s premium of up to 20 per cent, and any bought items must be picked up from the premises.
Potential buyers can inspect the items in person between 9am and 4pm on October 22, at 20-24 Piper Drive, Ballina, NSW.
