Queensland off-road specialist Kedron has ripped the wraps off its latest innovation, a unique rooftop solar panel mounting system that's designed to make the Queensland-built heavy-duty caravans even better suited to remote, off-grid travel.
One of a number of upgrades being rolled out across Kedron's 2021-updated models, the new 'ScrubPak' option includes a laser cut and powdercoated alloy top spoiler and solar panel side bracket mounting system with laser cut scallops that Kedron's Glen Gall says "allows the solar to work more efficiently (through improved ventilation) and allow more water run-off underneath".
Also part of the new ScrubPak kit is a front and rear composite alloy roof roll, two additional 80W solar panels, electric-powered entry steps, bolt-on alloy side protection bars, and new front scrub plates and higher Dibond side body protection with Rhino coating.
The ScrubPak add-ons are available as an extra-cost option on most Kedron models, or will be fitted as standard on the up-spec tandem and triple axle TopEnder vans.
Kedron recently released a video of a fully loaded custom built, 3990kg ATM rated, 19ft 6in Kedron XC5 fitted with the latest ScrubPak options, along with six rooftop solar panels feeding a 300Ah lithium battery system...
