Jurgens Australia is now catering to families as well as grey nomads.
The relatively young but fast-growing Victorian caravan builder, has released a 23ft dual axle bunk bed model built on the same platform as its flagship Tooradin couples van.
On display at the 2014 Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow, the new Narooma model comes with a north-south, queen-sized extendable bed, fully-equipped kitchen, separate shower and toilet and choice of double or triple bunks.
Standard equipment includes a large three-way fridge/freezer, combination cooktop/oven, rangehood, microwave, reverse cycle air-conditioning, rollout awning, bike rack, exterior picnic table, TV/DVD and antenna, gas/240V hot water, LED lighting, 12V battery system and two, 80 litre water tanks.
Like other Jurgens’ caravans and pop-tops, it’s built on Jurgens’ bolted-together Optima chassis, with one-piece Duratherm walls and aluminium roof, Al-Ko independent rubber suspension, double glazed windows and comes with a three-year factory warranty.
The triple-bunk model on display at the Melbourne show, fitted with optional external shower, had a ‘show special’ price of $59,990 tow-away. Further options include leather upholstery, external slide-out BBQ and washing machine.
Weight-wise, the Tare was 2168kg, ATM 2562kg and maximum ball loading, 310kg.
Jurgens Australia, which claims to have built around 800 caravans in 2013, is expected to further boost to its range later this year with the introduction of a toy hauler caravan and motorhome.
