Jet Tent Maverick

Lighter and cheaper version of 30 second OzTent RV5

The maker of the 30-second OzTent has released an affordable new model in its lightweight Jet Tent range.

The new Jet Tent Maverick is of similar design and dimensions to the popular OzTent RV5, albeit with an external steel frame and lighter Ripstop 300D polyester canvas.

At 1.9m high x 2.6m wide x 2.1m deep, it’s also 0.5m shallower than the RV-5 so has slightly less interior space.

However, the two-berth tent weighs 4kg less at just 19kg. It also packs into a smaller bag – 1.4m x 0.3m x 0.3m – making it easier to store and carry when travelling.

Like the rest of the OzTent/Jet Tent range, the Maverick is built to last with a 300GSM vinyl floor, double stitched, heat sealed seams, and heavy-duty zippers.

The windows and door are protected by superfine, insect proof mesh, and it comes with poles, pegs, ropes and a heavy-duty carry bag.

Importantly, it’s an easy one-person job to erect or pack up, and is backed by a two year warranty.

The RRP is $899, although OzTent had an introductory offer of $599 at the recent NSW Caravan Supershow.
