We know the new Jeep Gladiator can tow in the rough stuff, but now we've been given a glimpse of another way you can take the family bush camping with the new dual-cab ute.
The Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept, created for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari fanfest that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, features a roof-top tent that pops up in seconds and sleeps up to four.
Measuring in at 4.9-metres long and standing 2.3-metres tall, Jeep says the elevated accommodation will sleep up to four people and can open and retract in a matter of seconds.

Below the tent, within the closed truck bed, the Gladiator’s rear bed has been wood-lined and now incorporates both a fridge and stove, hanging racks, plus built-in seats and table – there’s even soft ambient lighting to set the mood on a camping adventure.
Within the cab, designers have given the Jeep pick-up a full customised interior, with dark blue leather seats that feature contrasting orange stitching and plaid flannel seat inserts – for the full lumberjack experience.
Outside, the Jeep is painted a new grey/blue colour that’s combined with lime green accents on the hood, tailgate tow hooks, springs and dampers.
A small roof rack has also been added for additional storage space up top.

Finally, to give the Gladiator extra off-road prowess it gets a two-inch lift kit, 17-inch rims that are combined with 37-inch mud tyres, steel bumpers, a 5.4-tonne Warn Winch, FOX shocks and custom front and rear rock rails.
Under the bonnet, there’s the American-spec 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 that’s matched exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission and pumps out 195kW and 600Nm of torque.
Sadly, the Fiat Chrysler’s Italian-made 60-degree DOHC V6 turbo-diesel is unlikely ever to venture Down Under as it’s already been ruled out by Jeep Australia’s own product manager.
Some of the Gladiator Farout accessories, meanwhile, plus the Jeep Performance Parts goodies, could soon be offered via your Jeep local dealer.
