Fresh from expanding its luxury motorhome range, Melbourne's JB Caravans has given its off-road caravan range a full freshen up for 2025.
All up, there's been 28 changes and updates across JB's already well equipped DRX (Dirt Road Xtreme), Gator X, Scorpion Sting and Scorpion Sting Air rough-road and off-grid models, with perhaps the biggest news being the previous 'No Timber Build' option, including a one-piece composite roof and PVC framing for the front, rear and side walls, is now standard across all four models.
All JB off-road adventure models now also come with bigger 110L water tanks, and a top-shelf Ecoflow lithium battery system ranging from 4kW to 10kW, and with either a 2600W or 3600W inverter, depending on the model.
As well as new-look decals, the MY25 JB off-roaders also boast new LED auto-series tail lights, and get tougher-wearing marine carpet for the entry step, while three out of the four models now come standard with Starlink 'pass through', making it easier to hook up the popular mobile internet service.
There are numerous improvements inside too, including new bedside shelving, laminate-underside tabletops, overhead cabinet strip lighting, a recessed rangehood, a matching TIC lounge sleeping cushion, and an inverter powerpoint in both bedside robes.
While it's also hard to miss the cleaner new, checker-plate free, Raptor-coated sides and the stylish black, front and rear fabricated toolboxes (on all models except the DRX); the front with a built-in stone guard and extra storage, while the rear platform-style bar gets a built-in pole carrier.
Meanwhile, the range-topping JB Scorpion Sting Air off-roader is now safer to tow, thanks to the standard inclusion of Bosch ABS on the MY25 model.
Prices start from $118,500 for the Dirt Road Xtreme, with the MY25 Gator X model kicking off at $125,100, followed by the Scorpion Sting ($140,500), and Scorpion Sting Air ($165,800).
