JB launches first luxury motorhome

Paradise-inspired, new Iveco-based JB Touring motorhome starts at $216,000

One of Australia's biggest caravan manufacturing brands has officially released its first motorhome.

Just the one 7.9m long, JB Touring motorhome model is currently available; built on a rear-wheel drive Iveco Daily 50 180 cab-chassis with 132kw/430Nm 3.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, and rated to a standard, car licence-friendly GVM of 4495kg that's upgradeable to 5200kg.

The new JB Touring motorhome is built at JB's Melbourne caravan factory but borrows many design, construction and safety features from the upmarket range built by Gold Coast-based Paradise Motorhomes which the owners of JB Caravans acquired around 12 months ago.

As such, the new JB Touring motorhome benefits from a slick, full composite fibreglass construction including one piece panels for the floor, walls and roof, smooth convex roof profile, fully moulded external storage lockers and an integrated roll-over protection system.
