Jayco's new premises
In late February we were given an exclusive look inside Jayco's impressive new headquartersThe official launch of the eagerly awaited, purpose-built premises won't be held until all the finishing touches have been applied, but Jayco began building out of the facility in October last year.
Set on 45 acres, the new HQ comprises a sprawling, modern office complex and five separate factories (there are plans to build a sixth). The factories have a dedicated purpose - one each to produce the brand's range of products, from caravans, motorhomes and pop-tops, to park cabins.
The larger factories have allowed Jayco to streamline production further which has led to a significant boost in production numbers - the manufacturer is on target for another record year, and the new facility will allow for further growth in the future.
Jayco now builds over 200 RVs a week and has employed about 50 more people since moving to the new site.
The company now has about 55,000sqm of under-roof workspace, roughly three times the playing area of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and efforts were made during the building of the site to make it as environmentally-friendly as possible.
