Leading caravan manufacturer Jayco has announced it will build a $35 million national head office and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lyndhurst, Vic.
The new facility will merge Jayco’s current three sites will include 55,000sqm of manufacturing, administration and training space. It will allow the company to increase production to 10,000 units and increase exports to New Zealand, currently worth $8 million annually.
Minister for State and Regional Development, John Brumby, welcomed the announcement.
“Victoria is the heart of the Australia’s RV manufacturing industry with around 85 per cent of RVs made here,” he said.
“Jayco is a great example of modern and innovative Victorian manufacturing, design-driven, focusing on leadership in a key niche market while building more export opportunities.”
The complex will be completed mid-2007.
