Jayco caravan buyers now have the option to keep their appliances powered up for longer off-the-grid, with new lithium battery package upgrades available across Jayco's All Terrain caravan range.
Two 'free camping' power upgrades are available for All Terrain buyers: the Off Grid Pack One that incudes a 12V 200Ah lithium battery system with 120amp charger and 2000W pure sine wave inverter, and the Off Grid Pack Two that features a 400Ah lithium battery, 180A charger and 3000W inverter.
Both packs also include a 40Ah solar controller, seven inch colour touchscreen monitor, and DC charging up to 30Ah, along with a heavy-duty rear bumper with built-in firewood rack and special Off Grid X stick-on decals.
Off-Grid X Pack One adds $9990 to the overall cost of an All Terrain caravan, while the 'Pack Two' option is priced from $12,990.
The Off-Grid X packs incorporate components from the Projecta Intelli-Jay High Power management systems, which Jayco says "can run the most demanding appliances and manage large solar installations".
"As a fully modular AC & DC mobile powerhouse, everything is connected via Canbus communication so individual components can be added as needed to cusomtise or expand your system, including additional batteries," Australia's biggest RV manufacturer said.
The seven inch touchscreen also monitors other functions including water and lighting.
The Jayco All Terrain caravans normally come standard with a single 100Ah lithium battery (with the option of a second lithium battery), Projecta LCD control panel and 400W rooftop solar.
The Off Grid X Pack Two was fitted to a 19ft All Terrain family bunk caravan displayed at the 2022 Queensland Caravan Supershow. Also fitted with a number of other options including an external slide-out kitchen, reversing and rear view cameras, 216 litre fridge/ferezer, Truma gas heater, Cloud 9 mattress, water filter, leather upholstery and brush bars, the show display vehicle had a tow-away price of $109,231.
