In recent years the world's biggest aftermarket accessories and hot rodding event, SEMA in Las Vegas, has attracted some interesting RV products, from vintage show-stoppers to 'badass' truck campers.
Last month's SEMA was no different, with a collection of eye-catching Toyota vehicles from Queensland's Patriot Campers taking centre stage, along with a one-off concept caravan from Middlebury, Indiana-based Jayco (which shares a 'flying bird' logo with the Dandenong, Victoria based Jayco manufacturer but it's believed little else).

According to Jayco USA, the Baja Sur Concept Travel Trailer was a "collaboration build" with major RV accessories supplier Lippert, plus a few other accessory brands, and was built specifically for the 2022 SEMA Show.
"This innovative design is targeted toward the new up-and-coming market of overlanders. The rugged exterior and boho interior on this concept travel trailer check all the boxes on what's needed for your next off-road adventure," the big-selling American RV manufacturer said.

Based on a big 23ft 2in, eight-berth Jay Feather Micro 199MBS model sold in the North American market, Jayco said the concept build was "the culmination of months of hard work by both Jayco and Lippert," and was "designed to be rugged on the outside and provide coastal-inspired comfort on the inside".
The Baja Sur Concept van comes fitted with a 'laundry list' of accessories and enhancements including a Solera 5000 Series awning, Power Stance Tongue Jack, Quick Drop Stabiliser and Levitate Double Step with lighting from Lippert; a True Course, Echo Brake Control, wheel chock set and TMPS from towing specialist Curt; and a Vision S Camera System and rooftop air-con from Furrion.
Interior highlights include a Lippert-branded microwave, stovetop, rangehood, and stainless steel black matte faucet, along with a Bluetooth entry door, water purification system, and a Resonado Audio Package.
"This RV demonstrates how a buyer or existing owner can accessorize their stock RV to fit their individual lifestyle and taste without breaking the bank," Jayco USA said.
Back in Australia, Jayco HQ has been quiet over the last couple of years when it comes to building and displaying show-stopping concepts, leaving it up to dealers to provide some inspiration to buyers.
