Jayco appoints new boss

Management change as RV giant poised to become ‘Australia’s largest vehicle producer’
With Jayco poised to become Australia’s largest vehicle manufacturer when Holden ceases production at its Elizabeth, South Australia plant on October 20, the company has appointed a new CEO to see the 42-year-old company’s next phase of growth in both Australia and New Zealand.
Garry Moore, who has been Jayco’s Chief Operating Officer for the past 14 months, steps up to take over the reins from current CEO and founder, Gerry Ryan, who will continue to serve as the Chairman of the company’s board.
Never far from the levers controlling what for many years has been Australia’s largest RV company with nearly 44 per cent market share, Ryan despite his diverse range of business and personal interests has been back at the helm of Jayco for the past two months since the departure for personal reasons of former CEO Carl Bizon.

The appointment of an ‘insider’ to CEO is a new experience for Jayco. Garry Moore brings with him a wealth of experience with him in manufacturing, quality and engineering acquired both nationally and internationally having served for Fisher and Paykell as Executive General Manager in Thailand and New Zealand.
He takes over at a peak time in Jayco history, with the company’s workforce close to 1100 and production of campers, caravans, motorhomes and portables now nudging 11,000 units a year.
