Shepparton, Victoria based CrzrVan Industries has taken its vision of the ultimate big off-road caravan to the next level, with the completion of its latest and greatest 21ft CrzrVan full composite family van.
The fully custom built CrzrVan P4 Plus off-roader boasts most of the cutting-edge, hard-core features of previous CrzrVans, including a boxy full composite 1950mm wide body, bespoke Raptor coated steel chassis with built-in winch and unique live axle, self-levelling airbag suspension.
However, the latest one-off dream machine takes it up a notch in off-road ride quality with the addition of new lightweight JMACX radius arms, to go with the adjustable shocks and off-road buggy-style remote reservoirs, Mine spec 1800kg rated rims and Maxxis Razr 33in mud tyres.
The 21ft CrzrVan also gets more freshwater capacity with three 120L tanks along with a grey water tank, plus a new state-of-the-art Safiery Global 48V 7.2Kwh lithium battery system, which incorporates 1650W triple insulated polycarbonate rooftop panels, a 5kw Victron 48V inverter, CZONE output management and Safiery's cutting-edge 'Scotty' bi-directional 48-12 power transfer system.
CrzrVan founder Rhys Conti said the bidirectional DC to DC charging system allows power to "transfer between 12V and 48V at up to 3000 watts. Using that we can run the 12V (12000lb Ironman rear mounted) winch at the full 300 amps an hour and not have any power loss".
The latest Queensland-designed 'all-electric' set-up is designed to run the appliances for days, if not weeks on end when camping off-the-grid.
"With 1650W of solar we're still charging the batteries while the air-con is running," Conti said.
"We also put a similar battery system in the owner's tow vehicle and another Scotty system so he can charge his caravan at 3000W."
The bespoke family-friendly layout includes a power-assisted queen bed that drops down over the leather-upholstered club lounge at the rear, with a central kitchen opposite the double bunks and a full width front ensuite with separate shower and toilet.
Among other top-end features rarely seen in rival vans are a built-in air fryer, Vitrifrigo 210 litre compressor drawer fridge, internal and external induction cooktops, underbunk air conditioner, 5kW instantaneous electric hot water unit, wireless phone charger and digital inclinometer readout, to go with more familiar appliances like a washing machine and diesel heater.
While the 21ft family van is the biggest and most expensive CrzrVan to date, with a pricetag well into six figures (it's also the heaviest with a 3050kg Tare and 4000kg ATM), Conti said he's still on track to roll out a range of more affordable sub-$100,000 High Country caravans with the CrzrVan chassis and suspension, which will be available from Victorian dealer Wangaratta Off Road later this year.
Along with a CrzrVan toy hauler and ute tray, the boutique Victorian manufacturer is also currently working on new single and tandem axle hybrid pop-top versions.
"We're literally a custom builder so if you come to me and want a tri-axle 26 footer, well, that's what we'll build," Conti said.
