Bruder has released a 'sneak peek' of its upcoming new range-topper, the EXP-10 couple and family caravan which is shaping up as the Brisbane-based expedition trailer builder's most extravagant and off-grid capable, hardcore off-road caravan to date.
According to the Bruder website, the new EXP-10 will be available in both couple and family bunk bed layouts, with the couple's layout including an L-shape lounge area that can be converted to bedding, while the family layout comes with permanent bunk beds.
Both floorplans also include an EXP-8 style kitchen with a 188L fridge, convection microwave and induction cooktop, a separate toilet, shower and heated wet room, and a north-south queen bed, making the EXP-10 the most large caravan-like Bruder X to date.
Bruder declared the all-new tandem axle EXP-10 will stand "in a category all its own" and "deliver unmatched off-grid capability".
"The Bruder EXP-10 is more than just a trailer; it’s the ultimate platform for off-grid exploration, merging luxury, strength, and unmatched capability," the 10-year old manufacturer said.
Like other Bruder X towable RVs, the EXP-10 boasts a fully sealed laser-cut chassis, fitted with Bruder's patented off-road suspension featuring eight tuned remote-canister shock absorbers and auto-leveling and delivering up to 300mm of travel.
Designed for all-seasons travel (Bruder exports around the world), the EXP-10 also features full composite body construction, and a triple-filtered dust reduction pressurization system.
Bruder says the EXP-10 is its "most powerful expedition trailer yet", incorporating a "next-generation 48V electrical system" including a 20KWh lithium phosphate battery bank, Victron 8000W inverter, and over 2000W rooftop solar with an MPPT solar charger, along with a touchscreen power management system.
The EXP-10 can hold up to 400 litres of water split across multiple tanks with independent pumps, and also has a grey water tank and a remote water pickup system.
Other external features include a a 5m powered side awning, Starlink compatibility, tyre inflation kit, Bruder-design drop-down table, and electric entry steps.
Luxury internal features include a premium bench-top with wine bottle holder or storage shelf, handcrafted bespoke upholstery and marine-grade flooring, while climate control is taken care of with twin under-bunk ducted reverse cycle air-conditioners, a hydronic diesel-powered internal water and space heater, and up to five fans.
A number of options are available including fold out 1000W solar and an upgrade to 30KWh battery capacity, an external slide out fridge, woodrack, gas bottle holder and bike rack.
Size-wise, the EXP-10 will measure 7.38m long overall and 2.1m wide, with a 6.2m (20ft 6in) body length. Tare weight is expected to come in at around 2900kg, with an ATM of 4000kg.
Bruder is yet to announce pricing, but with its EXP-8 flagship model currently priced from $343,000 in Australia, and considering the EXP-10 appears to be more lavishly equipped, there's a good chance EXP-10 pricing will nudge $400,000, even before any option boxes are ticked. That would make it the most expensive production caravan available in Australia, not including unique or custom-build vans.
The first EXP-10 display model is expected to hit Bruder's Brisbane showroom from around mid-March.
