It's not even in the country yet, but leading off-road suspension and accessories specialist Ironman 4x4 has already developed a raised height suspension kit for the latest Nissan Navara D23 ute.
Ironman 4x4 will offer an extensive selection of springs and shock absorbers, including the newly released Foam Cell Pro, for the all-new D23 Navara which is due in Australia in early-2015.
So far Ironman 4x4 has developed and tested suspension for leaf sprung versions of the D23 Navara, but also plans to offer suspension upgrades for D23 Navara variants fitted with the new coil sprung rear end.
“The coil rear end has not been released anywhere as yet, but we are looking forward to it,” said Ironman 4x4's Suspension Products Director, Kristian Ristell.
“We will have complete suspension kits in stock and available before the Nissan Navara`s Australian release in early 2015.”
According to Ristell, “Our primary focus is an improvement to the ride quality, whilst also providing a raised height up to 40mm over original”.
Ristell was recently in Thailand, where the Navara is built, to oversee the development and testing of the company's latest suspension upgrade.
“The front end (of the new Navara) is loosely based on the D40, there are a few changes,” he explained. “The rear end is all new, still an old school concept, and possibly a step backwards in terms of function and robustness (comparing to the D40) but time will tell.”
