Melbourne-based Crusader Caravans has boosted the storage capacity of its luxury Inspiration van by adding a large enclosed boot at the rear.
While a full width rear boot is a common fixture on many caravans, The Inspiration Platinum model takes it a step further with close to full height storage including large access doors on both sides.
The larger rear boot is suitable for light, bulky items, like extra bedding needed to cope with changing seasons on an extended tour.
It also stores the twin alloy spare wheels out of the weather, and incorporates a checkerplate toolbox for extra versatility.
Crusader dealer, Up the Road Caravans had two examples on display at the recent Border RV & Camping Expo in Wodonga, Victoria: a full width example and another van with a half-width boot with just one access door.
Priced at $69,500, the 21ft Inspiration Platinum on display featured the twin access rear locker, two batteries, Weber bbq and trolley, gas/electric oven and cooktop, leather recliners, external speakers, queen bed, 184 litre three-way fridge, and gas/electric hot water system.
Other standard equipment on the Platinum includes a full ensuite, Lemair washing machine, roof air conditioner, LCD TV, and microwave.
In operation for seven years, Crusader Caravans recently changed its name from Dreamhaven Caravans, and has enlisted AFL star Brad Ottens as the brand’s ambassador.
Crusader is currently building a custom caravan for the dual premiership Geelong ruckman, with an extra high roof to accommodate Ottens’ 6ft 8in frame.
