Titanium Caravans builds high-end quality caravans out of its Melbourne base using a secret weapon for its exacting standards – that is, quality accessory components made with precision machinery in its nearby metalwork enterprise, Wolf Fabrication.
Titanium Caravans and Wolf Fabrication together are wholly Australian-owned and family-run businesses based in Melbourne. Wolf Fabrication is dedicated to the design and fabrication of premium metal products, with caravan accessories a speciality. Not only does this provide Titanium Caravans with full control over the production and quality of such products, it allows more customisation of caravan design – and is also available for all caravan manufacturers, dealers or owners to order.
From the Premium Rear Bars, slide-out kitchens, access hatches, dust reduction systems, toolboxes – even laser-engraved logos – Wolf Fabrication covers it all.
Other signature products from this bespoke outfit include a rear alloy bar with storage drawer, spare wheel fitment plate and wood box and a rear caravan spoiler for efficiency and style.
An innovator in the caravan design space, Titanium Caravans has even recently introduced its own lightweight, strong and durable aluminium capping in place of less durable j-moulds, as well as new custom drop-down tables – all made in-house by Wolf Fabrication.
Wolf Fabrication is always on the lookout for design improvement, with a new front toolbox and larger external slide-out kitchen just some examples of the firm’s fresh approach to design and rapid implementation capability.
The company also offers customisation at a level just not possible in the mainstream caravan accessory field. For example, its innovative lockable front toolbox design allows for different uses and applications, from the more usual storage requirements for a generator or fridge to custom mountain bike storage. Normally a toolbox is a very basic design, but Wolf Fabrication makes its toolbox with standout design flair, with clever surfacing and shaping that is not only still very practical but attractive to the eye.
Usually external hatch dimensions, whether it be for locker storage or tunnel boots, are locked into a standard aperture decided by an external supplier. Not so with those made by Wolf Fabrications: you can custom order the hatch to suit the dimensions of the opening required for any RV build.
With many decades of fabrication and engineering experience behind it, Wolf Fabrication employs high-end machinery to precision cut and fold carefully sourced premium materials to create the most refined metal products available in the market today. These products are built locally by experts, and built to last the distance.
The production of such quality fabrication doesn’t come cheap, and here Wolf Fabrication has invested in the latest high-quality and high-tech equipment. For example, the Bystronic Bysmart Fibre Laser Cutter is a high-end Swiss-made precision cutter that Wolf Fabrication employs to ensure its exacting standards are met, providing a perfect cut, every time. This fibre laser cutting technology also allows highly accurate cuts in a range of metals with minimal waste and optimal efficiency.
In essence, Wolf Fabrication offers comprehensive laser cutting, folding and design solutions to meet any deadline and suit any fabrication need.
This same technology-led, high-quality approach flows over to Titanium Caravans, which employs the latest industry techniques – and even a few innovative ones you won’t find elsewhere.
For example, when ordering a new caravan, Titanium can set up an illuminated graphic projected on the floor in a dedicated showroom space to show you exactly how big each element of your proposed floorplan will be, down to the last millimetre. This allows a realistic preview of any customisation you have in mind, well before you discover it doesn’t suit.
When it comes to choosing colours for your van’s interior and exterior, not only does Titanium Caravans have large swatches of the multiple colour ways on display, but they can all be quickly and easily represented in three-dimensional computer modelling on-site. Titanium Caravans is so proud of its work that it offers customers the opportunity to come and visit its Campbellfield factory in Melbourne to see their caravan being built.
Titanium Caravans has four off-road models to choose from in its rugged premium caravan range.
The line-up starts with the single-axle Ti22-S2 previously known as the Unbound, available in 15-foot, 16-foot 6-inch or 18-foot lengths and five layout options. This model is loaded with inclusions in a compact, easy-to-tow size.
Then there’s the tandem-axle Ti22-S1 previously known as the Ontracker, available in up to 20 different layout configurations from 18-foot 6-inches to 23-foot, and from two-berth to six-berth bunk layouts.
Next up is the Ti22-S3 previously known as the Hardcore, which comes with generous battery capacity, 245L of water storage, 600W of solar, and disc brakes. There are 20 layout options with interior lengths from 5638mm to 7011mm.
The Ti22-S4 previously known as the Hardcore ATX is the flagship of the Titanium Caravans range, boasting the highest level of luxury imaginable in a caravan, from its air suspension to 400W of lithium batteries, 800W of solar, premium rear bar and toolbox, a leather lounge and premium mattresses. A total of 19 different layout options are on offer here, from a 5638mm internal length to 7011mm.
All Titanium Caravans models adopt interlocking aluminium wall frames, Henrob riveting, tongue-in-groove furniture and composite roof construction, resulting in an impressively lightweight and durable combination.
The company also offers some unique caravan design elements. Its rear roof spoiler adds an extra 200mm to a van’s roofline, allowing room for extra solar capacity, while the electrical management and charging equipment is stored in the dead space behind the fridge, with external access via a filtered and vented door.
Word of Titanium’s exceptional service has spread far and wide, with customers regularly praising the company via its nearly 6000-strong Facebook owners group for its above-and-beyond approach. Virtually nothing, it seems, is too much trouble when it comes to looking after its loyal customer base, which is exactly why that loyalty continues.
With unmatched experience in building premium off-road caravans, Titanium Caravans has built more than 3000 vans since the business started back in 2012. Titanium today employs more than 120 staff, many of whom have been with the business since its inception 14 years ago. At Titanium, there is no subcontracting of any part of the build process, while the company only hires qualified in-house tradespeople.
Titanium Caravans has also developed an extremely dedicated customer base over the years, including a loyal following of A-grade athletes including AFL footballers Jeremy Cameron, Jake Lever, Josh Gibson, Levi Casboult and Buddy (Lance) Franklin, as well as former Wallabies player and reality TV star Nick Cummins (aka The Honey Badger), Australian singer songwriter Tash Sultana, Outback adventurers such as Aussie Destinations Unknown, The Lifestyle Pioneers and Jake & Lil.
