Huge discounts on lightweight Adria caravans

Save up to $25,000 on a new European composite caravan that's light enough to be towed by an EV

Australian prices of lightweight European-built composite caravans are returning to pre-pandemic levels, with Apollo RV Sales recently reducing the price tags of some its 2022-2023-model Adria floor stock by as much as 30 per cent, or $25,000.

Some of the best deals are on the single axle, 19ft 11in Adora 542 PH Sport couple's ensuite caravan, which is currently available for $61,990 tow-away -- down from its $85,300 drive-away price in early-2023.

Adria Adora 542 PH Sport has been reduced by around $25,000

Launched in late-2022, the full composite touring caravan has a Tare of just 1610kg and a 2050kg ATM, making it easy-towing behind a large number of mid-sized passenger vehicles; not to mention some of the latest EVs like the 2500kg tow rated Kia EV9. The sleek Adria model is also one of the safest large caravans in Australia for towing, with its ground-hugging aerodynamic design and AL-KO anti-sway coupling.

For further savings you can also currently pick up a new '2022-model' Adora 542 PH Sport from Apollo's Melbourne outlet, for just $56,990 tow-away.

Adria Action 361 LT microlight caravan is the cheapest it's been in years

Another Adria reduced to sell is the Action 361 LT micro caravan which is now available for $49,990 drive-away -- or not far off the price when it was re-introduced to the Australian market back in 2017.

The smallest Adria van manages to squeeze in a combination shower/toilet, lounge/dinette, kitchenette and bedding for two people, within its 3.6 metre long internal layout, and boasts other 'big van' luxuries like a reverse cycle air-conditioner, 106L fridge/freezer and 1950mm ceiling height.

The Action 361 LT is also one of the lightest hardtop vans on the market, with a 100kg maximum ball weight, 1000kg Tare and 1400kg ATM, making it towable behind many compact SUVs as well as popular EVs like the 1600kg-tow rated Tesla Model Y.

Price of 18ft 4in Adora 492 DT Sport has been slashed by more than $23,000

Other enticing Adria deals currently on offer include a MY2022 Adria Altea 402 PH Sport, reduced from $65,700 to $54,990 tow-away; a 2022 Adria Adora 492 DT Sport ($55,990 tow-away, down from its $79,600 launch price); and a 2022 Adria Altea 552 UP Sport listed at $59,990 tow-away -- only $5000 more than a similar model we reviewed back in 2015.

Many of the bargain-priced Adria vans are available for immediate delivery, and are on display at various Apollo RV outlets around the country. You can browse the latest deals on either caravancampingsales or the Apollo RV sales website.
