Hotel camping for kids

‘Camp’ in the comfort of your hotel room
Fancy a spot of tent camping without getting wet, cold, muddy or bitten by bugs?
A Sydney hotel is offering a sanitized camping experience for those who enjoy their creature comforts as much as a solid roof over their heads.
Cashing in on the popularity of family camping holidays, the Holiday Inn at Potts Point has introduced a Kid’s Glamp-out package. Checking into a family room, kids are provided with an already set-up tepee filled with games, a starlight torch, toys and snuggly blankets to deliver a “lux camp-out experience”.
However, when it comes to beddee-byes the kids get to sleep on their own separate beds (no lumpy blow-up mattresses here!) to ensure a decent night’s sleep.
Each room also has a bathroom, so you also won’t get to experience the other quintessential camping experience of rushing around in the dark trying to find the caravan park amenities block!
The deal is sweetened by the fact that kids aged 12 and under stay for free when sharing their parents’ room and also eat free any time of the day at the on-site restaurant.
Rooms start from just over $100 a night, so a pretty good deal compared to a powered site at a nearby caravan park...
