Car dealers are not the only ones in end-of-year, run-out mode, with a number of caravan dealers looking to clear the showroom floor to make room for next year’s models.
Some of the best bargains going at the moment are from the eclectic stable of Apollo Campers’ retail arm, which include Slovenian-built Adria and locally-made Winnebago vans and motorhomes, with savings as much as $15,000 on some models. If you’re after a smart, well-equipped and lightweight Euro van with up to five berths, Apollo has slashed $7500 off the price of the Adria Altea 553 PK Sport caravan, which can currently be driven away for just $43,710. The smaller Altea 402 PH has also been reduced by $4500, to $39,510 tow-away.
The range-topping Adria Adora 612 DP, a spacious 22 footer with air-con as well as gas heating is currently priced at $67,210 tow-away. However, if you’re quick you can score a 2015-plate version of the exact same model for just $48,990 – a whopping $20,000 saving! It’s sitting at Apollo’s Brisbane dealership.
The recently-released, Australian-built range of Winnebago caravans are also going for a song, with savings of between $2000 and $7000 on the Bourke B and C models along with Mossman A, B and C variants.
The hard-working sales staff at the Melbourne Caravan Centre are also sharpening their pencils on the latest range of Australian-built Coromal and US-built Cell vans, as well as a large collection of used vans in stock, promising “no reasonable offer refused on any of our caravans”.
