Honda generator recalled

Popular petrol generator recalled over safety concerns

Honda is recalling a number of its latest EU22i petrol generators due to safety concerns around an incorrectly installed fuel cock.

According to a statement on the ACCC website, "loose or incorrectly installed screws may result in fuel leaking from the fuel cock during operation, storage or transportation of the generator".

This may result in the "potential risk of exposure to flammable liquid (petrol) and fire".

The affected Honda EU22i generators were sold around Australia between 2 January 2018 - 27 February 2019 and can be identified by a Frame Number from EAMT-1000001 to 1265586.

Consumers should contact their nearest Honda Power Equipment Dealer and arrange an appointment to have the fuel cock replaced at no charge.
