Campbellfield, Victoria caravan manufacturer Highline has ripped the covers of its new ‘all-electric’ Zeus caravan which will be sold exclusively via its Adelaide dealer, Dave Benson Caravans.
On display at this week’s Let’s Go Caravan, Camping and Outdoor Show in Adelaide, the Highline 18ft 6in Zeus tandem-axle off-grid van incorporates the latest NCE/OzXCorp 48V lithium power pack which is being increasingly adopted by a number of Victorian manufacturers including Royal Flair and Retreat, not to mention Queensland’s Spinifex.
Together with 1600W of rooftop solar power and a 5000W smart inverter, the 14.3kW chassis-mounted battery pack has enough stored energy to power many of the Zeus van’s on-board appliances for extended periods, including its external slide-out ‘beer’ fridge and internal 274L compressor fridge/freezer, internal twin induction cooktop, microwave, rooftop air-conditioner, washing machine, hot water unit, powered entry step and awning, stereo and 24-inch TV.
Like many Highline caravans, the Zeus tandem-axle display van sports an eye-catching exterior livery including bright blue gloss panels and striking Zeus ‘fully electric’ decals.
The feature-packed van comes equipped with independent coil suspension, a DO-35 coupling and mud tyres, along with a bunch of external accessories including an A-frame-mounted bike rack and a reversing camera.
There’s also an external 15A outlet if you wanted to use the van to power up a neighbouring caravan, some workmans’ tools, or even your home appliances when parked in the driveway.
The 2900Kg Tare weight, three-berth ensuite van also boasts 190L fresh and 110L grey water capacity for extended off-the-grid camping.
The bright blue 18ft 6in Highline Zeus van is currently listed for sale at $159,990.
