Hayman Reese SmartLED

New trailer connector with built-in LEDs aids hitching and unhitching in the dark

Fiddling around with trailer connectors in the dark could be a thing of the past, thanks to new seven pin flat wiring tails from Hayman Reese.

The SmartLED tail incorporates a powerful LED lighting system that when activated, provides extra light when plugging or unplugging trailer wiring from your tow vehicle.

It has two light settings: High (220 lumens) ideal for extra light while reversing and activated by shifting into reverse twice, and Low (80 lumens) for hooking up the caravan or trailer and activated by opening the socket cover.

At 1500mm long, the SmartLED wiring tail is compatible with Hayman Reese SmartClick wiring looms and is C-tick compliant, so it meets Australian EME standards.

It’s also waterproof up to 1.5 metres thanks to a water tight casing.

The SmartLED retails for $90 and is available at Hayman Reese stockists as well as a number of caravan and camping stores around Australia.
