Melbourne-based Red Rock Campers has added a new range-topping hard-floor, off-road model to its extensive range of soft-floor campers.
Unveiled at the Melbourne Leisurefest show at Sandown Racecourse, the new Red Rock Traveller Deluxe Hard Floor camper grabbed plenty of attention with its bright red painted body and long list of standard features.
Priced at $28,500, the flip-over, hard floor model is built for the rugged outdoors with a 10ft, 12oz Australian Wax Converters canvas tent, Al-Ko 45mm square axle and off-road leaf spring suspension, poly block off-road coupling and 16inch alloy wheels.
Taking care of the basics is a 62 litre water tank with galvanised guard, and a slide-out kitchen with slide-out drawers and workbench, and three burner cooktop and sink combo hooked up to a 12V water pump.
The electrical system comprises two 120aH deep cycle batteries with built-in Ctek 12/240V charger and 500W inverter, volt and amp gauges, four 12V outlets, and a vehicle charge lead with Anderson plug.
Mounted on the drawbar is an aluminium tool/fridge box with 480 litre storage, that holds in separate compartments a 40 litre Engel fridge/freezer and two 4kg gas bottles.
Other storage options include slide-out drawers behind the tool/fridge box and a rear, internal slide-out drawer, plus an internal pole storage compartment.
For kicking back at night there’s an internal audio system and two LED lights, along with two bedside reading lamps located near the queen-size innerspring mattress.
Options include an extended awning over the tool box ($899), sunroom walls ($1200) and Al-Ko independent suspension ($1820).
As a ‘show special’ Red Rock threw in a free extended awning and three year extended warranty plus registration, for all orders taken during the show.
