Green RV releases off-road camper range
New Orca RV imported family campers and hybrids now available from big Queensland dealerBig Queensland dealer Green RV has added a new range of imported off-road campers and hybrids to its range of on- and off-road caravans and motorhomes.
Built by Stoney Creek Campers, the new Orca RV range includes an entry-level forward-fold, hard-floor family camper trailer and two, twin-berth hybrid pop-top ensuite caravans.
Priced at $29,990 driveaway, the new 5.18m long Orca FF camper trailer is set up for off-road touring with independent trailing arm suspension with coil springs and dual shocks, a polyblock coupling, mud terrain tyres, dual jerry can holders, a protective stone guard, 12in electric drum brakes, dual 100Ah AGM batteries, twin 4.5kg gas bottles and 130 litre freshwater capacity.
Construction includes a hot dipped galvanised chassis, aluminum body panels and heavy-duty 14oz tent canvas, with cooking outside on a stainless steel slide-out kitchen featuring a four gas burner stove and a sink with mixer tap.
Under-canvas living includes a queen-size memory foam mattress and a club lounge/dinette that converts to another double bed. The new camper also comes standard with roof racks, a full annexe kit, TV and audio entertainment, an external hot/cold shower and gas bayonet, and an electrical control panel.
A Tare weight of 1680kg and 2100kg ATM delivers a maximum payload of 420kg.
Also designed for off-road adventures, the 6.5m long Orca RV Hybrid 13 pop-top caravan features a rear slide-out for the queen-size bed, along with an internal combination shower/toilet, dinette and tow large cupboard storage areas. Cooking is outside on a slide-out kitchen with gas cooktop and sink, with another slide-out for a portable fridge.
The Orca Hybrid 13 also comes well equipped for free camping with three 100Ah AGM batteries fed by a 300W rooftop solar system, and 220 litre fresh and 50 litre grey water tanks.
Other features include a hot dipped galvanised chassis and checker plate external protection, front stone guard and large toolbox, twin 4.5kg gas bottles, coil spring trailing arm independent suspension, a Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling, 12in drum brakes and mud tyres.
The internal ensuite includes a cassette toilet, hand basin and adjustable shower head, while also standard is a power-operated entry step and electric awning, a rooftop air conditioner and gas hot water system.
The slightly larger 7.15m long, Orca Hybrid 15 off-road pop-top caravan has similar equipment levels and internal layout to the Hybrid 13, but adds a few more features including an internal sink and two-burner cooktop.
The spare wheel on both Orca RV hybrids is mounted on the drawbar rather than on a drop-down rear bar, as a point of difference to some of its rivals.
The 13ft model is priced at $59,990 drive-away and has a Tare of 2280kg and 2800kg ATM, while the 15ft version is advertised at $62,990 drive-away and has a Tare of 2400kg and 3000kg ATM.
Green RV is also planning to introduce a double-fold camper trailer to the Orca RV range, with a fold-out double bed at each end to cater for larger families.
The new Orca RV range is available from Green RV outlets on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, where Snowy River, Regent and NextGen caravans and Avida motorhomes are also sold, as well as the FNQ Hub dealer located in the far-north Queensland town of Atherton.
