Game-changing Queensland-built mini caravan arrives

First $100K AOR Odyssey Signature compact hybrid with internal ensuite delivered to customer

As promised, Queensland's AOR has introduced a "market-first" Australian-built 11ft hybrid camper trailer with an innovative internal shower/toilet set-up.

The new Odyssey Signature hybrid is based on AOR's latest Odyssey Series 3 camper released in mid-2023, but in place of an external fold-out shower tent gets cleverly designed shower and toilet modules that fold or slide out as required to maximise internal space.

The new Odyssey Signature is now the smallest model offered by AOR with an internal ensuite, taking the title from the latest 14ft Quantam hybrid camper.

AOR says the 'transformer' ensuite layout in the Odyssey Signature is a unique design for the Australian RV industry and is aimed at buyers who want to combine the lightweight off-roadability of a compact, hard-wall bush camper with the glamping appeal of being able to shower and toilet inside rather than out.

As the introductory video explains below, AOR has tweaked the Odyssey's rear kitchen cabinetry, and incorporated a space-saving shower module that sits around 110mm off the side wall in travel mode, and cleverly opens up to provide a wash basin and the base for an internal 'shower tent' when camping.

The internal shower tent is held in place with roof clips, and there are also some new wall storage pockets for bathroom or kitchen items. The Euro caravan-style drop down sink has a holder for the dual-purpose shower hose, with water either draining away via an external outlet or into an optional grey water tank.

There's also a new hinged benchtop section, that when folded up allows room for a composting toilet to slide out from a cabinet when the shower's not set up.

Unlike the macerator toilets in other AOR campers, the OGO toilet doesn't require built-in plumbing so is easier to pull in and out and use as required.

AOR has also added a couple of hinged lockers above the kitchen bench for additional storage inside the camper, and deleted the internal cooktop and kitchen sink, with the only option for inside cooking a plug-in portable induction cooktop.

The new 1440kg Tare/2000kg ATM, Odyssey Signature hybrid will come standard with a 300Ah lithium battery system with 1000W inverter and 350W rooftop solar, and is priced from $99,900.
