Fusion Stereoactive

Bluetooth portable stereo sounds deathnell on external caravan speakers
When your camp is set up and you want to kick back in front of the fire with some tunes, having the stereo inside your camper or caravan is not ideal.
Nor are external speakers cut into your RV’s side, as they often project more sound to your neighbours than you, which can be a problem in caravan parks that have a strict nightime curfew.
Also, external speakers for off-road travel are potentially vulnerable to dust, water and heat.
The above are all good reasons why many of today’s hip travellers are likely to make a sound choice, shed the shackles of traditional stereo systems and instead fit Fusion’s new Stereoactive Bluetooth speaker, which can be located anywhere inside the van/camper.
The system’s broad-spectrum speaker is docked inside the camper using the Fusion puck mounting system for quick and easy securing, with power supply connected to make sure you’re always fully charged.
You can also purchase and locate another puck mount on an exterior wall for the times you want music or radio outside.
This speaker features AM/FM/USB and Bluetooth streaming from your phone or music device. Being designed for water sports, it is waterproof and it even floats, so you can take it kayaking or fishing.
The stereo also contains a waterproof cavity designed to provide secure housing for a low-profile USB for MP3 playback, while keeping the flash drive waterproof to a rating of IPx7.
Audio playback over USB is available for Apple lightning products and AOA 2.0 Android phones so users can simply plug and play.
Engineered to play quality audio, the directional speakers are matched to the unit’s polycarbonate grille to send the sound through the unit’s 20 Watt speaker system.
A flat mounting surface has been positioned on top to allow for the mounting of a Garmin Virb or other third-party action camera.
With a claimed long-life battery, the unit will keep music playing for up to 20 hours and the type-A USB port also provides charging for Apple iPhone lightening connector products and Android AOA devices.
The unit is supplied with 8GB low profile USB stick for all your music needs and the speaker can be remotely controlled via the Fusion Link App if you’re too relaxed to get out of your chair.
The other cool thing about the Fusion Stereoactive is that can also be mounted onto a waterproof Fusion Activesafe, which is a safe option to keep your phone or keys in a waterproof container for when you’re out and about.
We can see this cool new device finding its way into many off-road campers and caravans and it will be standard wear on style-leader Track Trailer’s new Tvan Mk V when it breaks cover in mid-July.
The RRP of the Fusion Stereoactive head unit is $399, with the waterproof safe base priced at around $129. They’re available in a range of colours to match your rig and its décor.
