Sydney dealer Everything RV is set to display the latest range of Echo 4x4 hybrid campers at next month’s NSW Caravan, Camping, Holiday Supershow.
Everything RV is the newly appointed Australian distributor for Echo 4x4, and will display three of the South African-built off-road models at the Supershow including the entry-level Chobe compact bush camper, and more higher-specced Kavango and Kunene hybrid family campers.
Built for rugged outback touring, the three Echo 4x4 models all feature hot-dipped galvanized chassis and ‘corrosion free’ monoque fibreglass insulated bodies utilising stainless steel bolts, nuts and hinges.
Despite its compact size, the 4.25m long, 760kg Tare, Chobe bush camper can sleep up to four people thanks to a large pop-top roof and two double beds that slide out from the front and off-side walls.
There’s large nosecone storage and an outside pantry and kitchen with slide-out gas cooker and fridge. Other standard features include a DO-35 coupling, AGM battery and 200W solar panel, 17in alloy wheels, two 2kg gas bottles, 125L fresh water tank and a hot water unit.
The larger, more featured-packed Kavango hybrid pop-top camper also boasts a light 1050kg Tare weight, along with an outside kitchen, slide-out toilet/shower and sleeping for up to four adults, while the range-topping 4.57m long, 2350kg ATM, Kunene hybrid family camper takes the comfort levels up a notch or two with a more caravan-like north-south double bed interior layout, lithium battery system, air conditioner and double-glazed, tempered glass windows among its long list of standard features and options.
Both the Echo Kavango and Kunene pop-top hybrid campers have a low roof height (when stored) but excellent road clearance for serious off-road travel.
Everything RV Dealer Principal, Chad Kanj, said all Echo 4x4 models sold in Australia will have full ADR compliance, with many of the gas and electrical appliances fitted locally.
“They will really appeal to hybrid camper buyers shopping at the top-end of the market,” Kanj said.
He said a strong selling point is the competitive pricing across the range, compared to some of its competitors, including Conqueror which, like Echo 4x4, has supplied off-road trailers to the military.
Everything RV is currently advertising the Echo 4x4 Chobe camper at $59,990 drive away, with the top-spec Kunene hybrid family camper listed at $89,990 drive away.
Echo 4x4 has been building off-road camper trailers and hybrid caravans for around 30 years and been involved in tent manufacturing for 50 years. A big player in the South African market, the company has produced more than 12,000 trailers, with international outlets in Canada, USA, Africa, the Middle East, the UK and Australia.
Company founder Willie Grobler has an aircraft engineering background, and the factory utilises automated production methods including robot welding and CNC laser cutting, with most parts including the high-quality African canvas manufactured in-house.
Everything RV which is also the Sydney dealer for New Age and Hike Caravans, will have the three-model Echo 4x4 Australia line-up on display at the NSW Caravan, Camping, Holiday Supershow on April 18–23 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Sydney.
