Fresh metal for Sydney Supershow

Show debuts and some colourful surprises at the 2015 NSW Caravan & Camping Supershow

Numerous show debuts along with some never-seen-before models will be on display at the 2015 NSW Caravan, Camping, RV and Holiday Supershow from April 11-19.

Following a rather subdued debut in Melbourne, Winnebago will have the full range of dazzling exterior colours on display including orange, pink, yellow, green, and red, on its new US-built Minnie caravan range.

Avida RV will also roll out new slide-out models under its compact Eyre and larger Esperance ranges, in an expanded motorhome display area.

Also set to debut at the Sydney show are Complete Campsite’s latest Tvan rival, the Exodus 9; Travelander’s new gas free, slide-on camper, and New Age’s latest Expanda-style Glider caravan range.

But if you can’t afford one there’s a chance you could win one, with a New Age Glider and annexe worth $60,000 the major prize in this year’s Passport Competition, open to all show attendees.

Sydney-based GIC will also roll out new V2 camper trailer models as part of its range-topping Black Series, while Melbourne’s Lotus will have its latest 2015 caravan range including the striking new off-road Trooper with white composite walls.

Australian/South African manufacturer Jurgens is expected to take the wraps of a new, lightweight caravan model called the Travado, while Elite Caravans will show off a new interior colour range designed by TV personalities Alisa and Lysandra from The Block.

In the accessories section, Kangaroo Tent City will be flying the Aussie flag with a special Anzac Day commemorative fridge in “camo colours”, and have a new type of portable shower that doesn’t require a pump or battery power.

Along with daily seminars, ‘adult’ entertainment at the show will include a  new champagne bar and jazz band, while there is a kids’ zone, jumping castle, and face painting for the young ones.

Australia’s second biggest, and arguably best RV show, will run April 11-19 at Rosehill Racecourse, Paramatta, and include more than 300 exhibitors spruiking the latest caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, fifth-wheelers, slide-ons, RV and camping accessories as well as travel destinations and holiday parks.

Supershow organiser the NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association expects more than 70,000 visitors through the turnstiles over the nine-day show.

Tickets are available from the Supershow website or at the gate, and cost from $22.50 for adults, $18 concession or children under 16 are free if accompanied by an adult.
