Fresh gear at Victorian RV show

As well as a bunch of new release RVs, visitors to this month's Border RV & Camping Expo in Albury-Wodonga can expect some of the latest RV accessories designed to make life easier on the road.

EcoPot, the manufacturer of portable thermal cookers, will have on display its new Ecoheat RV portable induction cooker.

Weighing just 1.5 kg, the Ecoheat boasts twice the cooking speed of conventional electricity or gas, and is designed to run on 800 watts and draw only 3.5 amps.

Used in conjunction with a 1 kva generator or an 85 watt solar panel and inverter, the Ecoheat can also be fitted with a barbecue plate for a quick and easy barbie.

Also catering to growling stomachs at the Expo will be the new Happy Camper Gourmet range of pre-cooked meals. Introduced late last year, the pre-packed meals promise a shelf life of 18 months, with no need for refrigeration or freezing, and can be transformed into a tasty hot meal in minutes, even in the most remote camping spots.

With a choice of lamb shanks, veal shanks and meatballs, all in special sauces, they are made with top quality ingredients from Aussie farmers.

There are three easy choices for quick re-heating – in the oven or the microwave or popped into a pot of boiling water on the stove or over the campfire.

Or if you'd prefer to do it yourself, Freshield's vacuum storage systems will also be on display at the Border RV & Camping Expo.

Utilising an Elite Vacuum Sealing system, the Freshield system offers up to five times the storage life of other conventional storage methods for foodstuffs such as meats, fish, vegetables, fruits and bread.

For those looking for a convenient clothes drying solution, RV Towing Solutions will be displaying the new DIY Smart Line. Available in various sizes and priced from $25, the lightweight system can be fitted in seconds to a caravan awning after a simple five-minutes installation.

It hooks easily onto neat brackets screwed into the awning support legs, and simple turnbuckles provided keep it taut.

RV Towing Solutions, will also have on display other products in its range including Rock Tamers removable mudflaps, Secure-A-Hitch anti-rattle device, and Clearview towing mirrors.
