With more Australians expected to undertake caravanning holidays as local camping restrictions are lifted but overseas holidays remain on hold, West Australian motoring club RAC is getting on the front foot by offering free caravan and towing training for caravan newbies.
The RAC says it's providing West Australians with "the opportunity to master your caravan skills and travel safe with our complimentary safety sessions this winter".
Held in conjunction with Driver Risk Management at the driver training specialist's facility near Perth Airport, the free one and a half hour sessions are conducted by a professional instructor and cover a range of topics including how to safely reverse your caravan , checking tyres, and learning about vehicle weights and other tips.
Participants will be able to put into practice what they've learnt on the day, using towing set-ups at the facility or participants can bring along their own caravan, with a free tow connection inspection thrown in for good measure.
Most sessions scheduled for this Sunday, June 28 are sold out, but there are still a number of sessions available on July 18, August 15 and September 12. Click here for more information.
