Most caravan shows are held at race courses, attract numerous exhibitors and charge entry fees.
But when you’re one of the country’s biggest RV dealers, operating out of a spacious, modern sales yard and service facility, why not hold your own show, with free entry?
That’s exactly what the Jayco Newcastle dealership is doing this week-end, when it conducts the inaugural Jayco Newcastle Caravan, Camping, 4WD & Boat Expo at its new sales centre in Heatherbrae over three days.
As well as more than 100 new and used Jayco models on display, including the latest fifth wheelers, more than 20 exhibitors have been invited to showcase their wares including mobile repairer the Caravan Wizard, towing trainer Tow-Ed, Thermal Cookware, Newcastle Iveco and Terrace Boating.
Educational and how-to demonstrations will be held each day and RV industry experts will be on hand for Q & A sessions.
As a family-friendly event, the three-day expo will also include a sausage sizzle, kids’ activities, a visit from J-Jay Bird, and more than $3000 worth of prizes including a Dometic fridge/freezer, trailer safety pack, five-night holiday park stay, cookware and caravan stone guard.
A number of special offers will include a $1000 free fuel voucher for those that purchase a new RV as well as a new Jeep from McCarroll’s Jeep during the Expo.
While anyone who has bought an RV from the dealership in the past 12 months will be treated to a special Saturday night function that includes a spit roast dinner, entertainment, drinks and lucky door prizes.
Located around 170km north of Sydney, Jayco Newcastle is the biggest Jayco dealer in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region. Although it's been in business for more than three decades, the brand new sales centre at Heatherbrae has only been officially open since March this year, after the previous site in Hexham was destroyed by fire.
Jayco Newcastle is located 1 Camfield Drive, Heatherbrae, and the Expo runs this Friday (Oct 10) from 9am-5pm, Saturday (Oct 11) from 9am-4pm and Sunday (Oct 12) from 10am-3pm.
