Free safety inspections at Leisurefest

Find out if your caravan's unsafe or illegal with free show inspections

Visitors to this year’s Bendigo Leisurefest will be able to take along their caravan or RV and get it inspected for free.

The show's organiser, the Caravan Trade Industry Association of Victoria, has teamed up with online forum Everything Caravan & Camping, to offer free RV safety inspections at the rural caravan and camping show, running from November 22-24 at Bendigo Racecourse.

The inspections will take place on November 23 and 24 (between 8.30am and 2.30pm). and each inspection will take around 30 minutes.

As part of each inspection, the car and caravan (or motorhome) will be weighed and measured, gas connections and electric equipment checked, and towing set-up and overall vehicle condition assessed.

Specialists from EnergySafe Victoria, Victoria Building Authority, Northern RV, Hayman Reese and Service Safe Accredited Companies will be in attendance to do the inspections as well as offer advice, and no fines or breach notices will be issued as a result of the inspections.

Spaces are limited and all inspections must be pre-booked. Click here if you'd like to take part.
