Franklin sharpens entry-level Arrow
Entry-level Franklin van gets new sloping front and slick CNC furnitureAn updated new version of Franklin Caravans’ entry-level Arrow model will make its debut at next week’s Queensland Caravan Supershow.
According to Concept and Franklin Caravans director Keir Smith, the eight-model Arrow range features a new “wind-cheating, low-profile aluminium body,” as well as a “sumptuous interior” with “the latest in furniture technology”.
“It’s bold new aero design cuts a sharp figure on the road, while the interior has loads of space and comfort,” Keir said.
The traditionally-built timber/aluminium vans also come with grey checker plate protection, a composite rear panel and ride on either 15 or 16-inch alloy wheels.
Other standard features across the range include a triple lock door, dual 9kg gas bottles, leaf-spring suspension, fold-down picnic table, and a reverse camera with car kit.
Franklin says the adoption of the latest CNC-cut ‘IFC’ cabinetry helps reduce weight “without compromising on strength or integrity”.
Other interior highlights of the ensuite models extend to a French floating vinyl floor, full-sized oven, 190-litre fridge, washing machine, 22in TV and aerial, DVD/CD radio and LED lighting with touch sensitive dimmers. A 100A/h AGM battery and charger and 135W solar panel are also part of the package.
Priced predominantly in the competitive $50-$60,000 bracket, the Arrow full-height caravan range comes in both single and tandem axle variants and four body lengths, from 17ft 6i to 20ft 6in.
Franklin vans are built at the Concept Caravans’ factory in Campbellfield, Victoria, alongside other Concept brands including Newlands.
