An experienced trucking industry executive will take over the reins at Australia’s biggest RV manufacturer.
After being in the Managing Director role at Kenworth truck manufacturer, PACCAR
Australia, for the past eight years, Andrew Hadjikakou will officially take on a new role of Jayco CEO at its Dandenong, Victoria-based head office and production facility, on May 29.
Hadjikakou will oversee Jayco’s operations in Australia and New Zealand, as company founder, Gerry Ryan, assumes the role of Chairman of the board.
“I am proud to announce the appointment of Andrew Hadjikakou to the position of CEO who brings to Jayco a vast amount of manufacturing experience,” Ryan said in a statement.
“We have searched extensively over the last 12 months to find the right person for this role. I am very pleased that Andrew has decided to join us and help us take Jayco Australia, New
Zealand and the Jayco group of companies to the next level.”
Hadjikakou said he was “really excited” to join the Jayco group as the latest experienced executive to assume the role of CEO at the 48-year-old company that builds around 11,000 RVs annually.
“Jayco is such an iconic Australian brand and to join the business during this next period of growth is a privilege,” he said.
“Under Gerry Ryan’s leadership, Jayco has built an impressive reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service. I look forward to working closely with the talented team at Jayco to continue to deliver outstanding experiences for our dealer network and our
customers.”
The new CEO will also oversee a network of over 150 service agents and dealers across Australia and New Zealand, as well a team of more than 1200 Jayco employees located around the country.
