An American company best known for its unique solar-powered camping products has launched its first camper trailer.
Based on the innovative Camp 365 fold-out camper released in 2019 (and described at the time as the the “world’s first fold-out cabin'), GoSun says the latest Camp 365 trailer is light and aerodynamic enough to be towed by almost any vehicle, including battery-powered vehicles.
Described as the "ultimate solar powered off-grid camper for adventurers", the GoSun 365 sets up like few other campers, with the four walls and attached canvas folded out manually to form the floor, side walls and roof off the camper (watch the video below to see how it's done.)
The 365 camper comes with a load of GoSun solar-powered camping products, including flexible roof-mounted solar panels, a portable battery pack, water tank, sink, cooler and a unique cylindrical camp oven.
A pair of inflatable single beds that can be pushed together to form a double, a portable 12V coffee machine and a cassette-style toilet complete the camping amenities.
At just four feet wide in travel mode the compact camper will fit into most garages, and GoSun says the "100 square feet of (internal) customisable floorspace" can be used for other purposes than camping, like a portable studio or small office space.
The 'clean tech' American brand has listed on its website an 'all in price' for the Camp 365 trailer of US$32,500 (about AUD$47,000), with first deliveries expected to commence in September 2022.
