Fishing Tip: A knife for every occasion

Fishing advice provided by iFish TV

I get very angry when I see good quality fish wasted due to poor fish cleaning abilities and bad knives. There is nothing more dangerous in a kitchen than a blunt knife so do yourself a big favour: buy quality knives and keep them sharp.

There are several knife sharpeners on the market today that a monkey could get positive results with. Many butchers also offer a knife sharpening service if you ask the question, which is money well spent.

Also make sure you have a specific knife for each job you intend to do: One for filleting, cutting, bait preparation etc and never put a good knife in the dishwasher. It will take the edge off the blade and limit the knife's life.
