Melbourne's New Age Caravans is expanding its motorised RV line-up, with a new entry-level, on-road campervan about to join its larger motorhome model released late last year.
Priced from $139,990, the New Age Campervan is based on the front-wheel-drive Fiat Ducato delivery van with a 132kW/450Nm, 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and nine-speed automatic transmission.
The base van comes with optional Tech and Style packs which include a digital rearview mirror, keyless entry/start, 360 degree parking sensors, 16in alloy wheels and LED headlights, to go with other factory-fitted features like smart phone mirroring, adaptive cruise control, climate-control and electric folding side mirrors.
The car-licence friendly mid-size campervan has a GVM of 4250kg and 2250kg towing capacity, so you could use it to tow a small trailerboat, while it should slot into many car parking and camping spots at 2745mm tall, 2100mm wide and 6365mm long, with an interior height of 1910mm.
Standard exterior features include a roll-out side awning, external shower and a powered entry-step, and for off-grid camping there's a 200Ah lithium battery system with 2000W inverter and 400W rooftop solar, and 95L fresh and 95L grey water tanks.
Two swivelling front seats allow full walk-through access to the rear fit-out, which includes a front dinette area with a removable table and a bench seat with two extra passenger seat-belts, alongside a combination shower and toilet.
There's also a passenger-side kitchenette with square sink and mixer tap and a twin gas-burner cooktop, and an east-west double bed at the rear, with under-bed storage as well as overhead cabinets.
Entry into the motorhome fit-out is also via a passenger side sliding entry door, and barn doors at the rear.
Other standard interior features include a 2.5kW rooftop air conditioner, microwave, rangehood, 105 litre compressor fridge, 28L gas hot water system, a filtered water tap, 24in Smart TV, and a roof fan hatch in the shower/toilet cubicle.
The New Age Campervan will be on public display for the first time at the 2025 Melbourne Caravan & Camping Leisurefest at Sandown Racecourse in Victoria (September 18-21).
