Big-selling RV importer MDC has given one of its most popular tent trailer models a fresh new look for 2026 buyers, with the release of a new limited-edition variant of its Explorer FF forward-fold camper.
Externally and internally, MDC says the new Explorer FF Limited Edition model stands out with an all-new Sandy Taupe exterior colour and decal package, along with a refreshed, matching interior colour palette.
Priced from $21,990, the fresh modern look adds $3000 to the price of the standard Explorer FF hard-floor camper.

The rest of the Explorer FF's off-road package stays the same for the limited-edition version, including fitment of MDC's trailing arm independent suspension, 12-inch electric drum brakes, a poly block coupling and 16in alloys with mud tyres, plus two spares.
The Explorer FF Limited Edition can sleep up to five people under its 15oz canvas tent section, with a custom king-size bed, convertible lounge and full annex included, along with a slide-out stainless-steel kitchen with gas cooker and a sink with hot and cold tap.

Also included is a slide for a 95L fridge, an 80L water tank and 12V pump, portable toilet, gas bottle and jerry holders, and a 100Ah lithium battery system with a 200W portable solar panel.
Tare weight is around 1450kg, with an ATM of 2000kg.
MDC first released an Explorer model in 2009, which evolved into the Explorer Forward Fold in 2013.
It remains one of four off-road camper trailers still offered by MDC, including the range-topping, dual fold Robson XTT which was introduced in 2017 to commemorate the life of well-known MDC employee Steve ‘Robbo’ Robson.

A 'Top-4' Aussie RV brand today, MDC started offering Chinese-built hybrids and caravans more than 10 years ago, and now the majority of its range is 'canvas free', including the latest MK4 48V caravans and more upmarket Gold Class models.
“When we started MDC more than 20 years ago, tent and camper trailers were at the heart of what we did," explained MDC founder Vaughan Hindley.
"The Explorer FF Limited Edition celebrates that history while making the product relevant and exciting again for the next generation of Australian campers.”

MDC's new Explorer FF Limited Edition is now available for pre-order, and will make its public debut at the Let’s Go Ipswich Caravan and RV expo later this month.
