After less than three years on the market, Queensland’s Vision RV has already expanded significantly, with three new VX-series full-height caravans and one new compact Hybrid pop-top model on display at the 2022 Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow at the Brisbane Showgrounds from June 7-12.
The growth of the fledgling brand, whose origins began with a hybrid built by Noosa Off Road Vans in a cramped Noosaville’s industrial estate factory, is one of the industry’s success stories, with its show site rivalling Jayco’s in size as an indication of its rapid acceptance.
Not content with adding two full-height ‘VX’ caravan models – 17ft 9in and a 19ft 6in couples’ vans – to its range mid last year, Vision showed off an additional family version of the larger model, plus a new 21ft 6in family and couples van, along with a new 13ft pop-top entry model encompassing a full transverse king bed and a combined shower/toilet bathroom.
While their bare body shells with aluminium cabinetry arrive from overseas for a 250-hour fit-out of their wiring, plumbing and auxiliary components, all Vision models feature 100 per cent timberless construction, a hot-dipped Toowoomba (Qld)-manufactured galvanised chassis, independent airbag suspension and ventilated disc brakes.
Even the 6.29 metre-long VH-13 Hybrid comes standard with 300Ah of battery power, fed by 600W of rooftop solar.
As well as the new models that expand the full range to 10 models, Vision also introduced another innovation at the Brisbane Show – an optional ($1650 estimated price) meat smoker that can be housed in the front body locker that can alternatively store a Weber BBQ.
Vision also still offers the customer’s choice of two unique Aboriginal art designs on its caravans for a premium of $1000, with all proceeds going to Shoreline, which helps indigenous children transition through school into the workplace.
Vision prices currently range from $124,850 for the VH-13 Hybrid, to $159,850 for the new 19ft 6in family caravan.
