Melbourne’s Evernew Caravans has been recognised with the ‘RVMAP People’s Choice Award Manufacturer of the Year’ at the Caravan Industry Association of Australia's recent National Conference held on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
The inaugural annual award was based entirely on customer feedback from more than 1000 consumers across all RVMAP Australian manufacturing businesses and recognised those that "excelled in meeting their customers’ needs throughout the full product delivery and the purchasing journey".
Founded in Melbourne’s Heidelberg in 1963 by Bruce Bailly, Evernew changed hands in 2017 and is now owned and run by career engineer, Bib Dani.
Two other Melbourne caravan manufacturers took out the minor placings in the Award, with JB Caravans coming in second in the judging and Traveller Caravans third.
Winners of other awards announced at the function held at The Star Hotel and Casino in Broadbeach, included former long-time Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Queensland President, Jim Carnavas, who took out the Chairman’s Award, for outstanding contribution to the industry.
The caravancampingsales Future Leaders Award, was presented to chartered accountant Amanda Baldwin, who for the last 18 months has been involved in pivotal G’Day Group investment decisions such as a new glamping development on Rottnest Island.
The Eric Hayman Award for Excellence, now in its 28th year, which recognises industry leaders, went to Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO Stuart Lamont, while the inaugural Gerry Ryan OAM Award for Innovation went to Redarc for its Redvision Total Vehicle Management System.
The ReviewPro People’s Choice Caravan Park Award was awarded to Mandalay Holiday Resort and Tourist Park (Gold), Caloundra Waterfront Holiday Park (Silver) and BIG4 Atherton Woodlands Tourist Park (Bronze).
